Even though many gay people, myself included, are constantly reminded that many people/outspoken parents/politicians don’t agree with our lifestyle, it is always so surprising me when I read this kind of stuff.
Making an animated movie rated R because the last two minutes of the movie has a gay character “come out” to the audience? Back when the movie was first being promoted, I heard that there was an openly gay character and I knew that this kind of thing was going to happen. If some parents would do their research before going to the movie theater to see the movie, maybe they wouldn’t have the heavy burden of explaining that there are in fact different types of people in the world. They would also know that this movie was intentionally made slightly darker than most children’s stop motion films. Don’t even get me started on the last review….
